Dimensional Dedication Plaque

Dr. Michelle Amtower Suite

This dimensional plaque was created to dedicate a treatment suite to Dr. Michelle Amtower, a prominent veterinarian at the ASPCA Spay/Neuter Alliance in Asheville. Dr. Amtower is known for her extensive work in high-quality, high-volume spay/neuter services as well as her involvement in community disaster-relief efforts.

The plaque uses raised white dimensional lettering on a neutral background, creating a clean, professional tribute that identifies the suite while recognizing Dr. Amtower's contributions to veterinary medicine and animal welfare.

The Wildcat Way

Interior signs are also an excellent way to reinforce the values and culture of an organization. This large athletics display presents "The Wildcat Way" through a series of clearly organized principles including commitment, discipline, accountability, communication, and choosing joy.

The dark background and school colors coordinate with the surrounding space while the strong headings organize a considerable amount of information into an easy-to-follow visual hierarchy.

Dimensional Department Lettering

B&B Pharmacy — Cosmetics

B&B Pharmacy needed a coordinated series of interior department identifiers that would be easy for customers to spot throughout the store. Asheville Signworks produced five sets of dimensional lettering, including this large COSMETICS installation.

The letters were fabricated from 1-inch PVC, creating substantial depth and shadow against the dark wall. They were installed using VHB — very high bond tape — and silicone, allowing the lettering to sit cleanly against the finished interior surface.

Printed & Contour-Cut Wall Graphics

French Broad Family Dentistry

A company logo does not necessarily need a separate sign panel to make an impact indoors. For French Broad Family Dentistry, the logo was digitally printed, laminated, contour cut, and applied directly to the interior wall.

Contour cutting follows the shape of the individual letters rather than surrounding the design with a rectangular background, giving the finished graphic the appearance of being painted directly onto the wall while retaining the durability and consistency of commercial vinyl.

Movie-Themed Home Staging

This may be one of the more unusual interior projects we have produced. The home was being professionally staged for sale, with approximately fifty people working throughout the property — painting, installing new furnishings, decorating rooms, and carrying out the vision of a skilled interior designer.

For the entertainment area, Asheville Signworks produced a multitude of individually shaped white graphics designed like old-fashioned movie tickets. Arranged around the television, they transformed an otherwise plain wall into a completely custom feature that fit the room's cinema theme.

State Employees' Credit Union

This custom interior graphic combines one of the most recognizable shapes in North Carolina with the State Employees' Credit Union name. The oversized state silhouette creates a bold focal point without requiring a conventional rectangular sign panel.

The simple blue-and-white design works especially well against the clean architectural wall panels and gives the space a strong sense of both company identity and place.

Stand-Off Display Panels

ASPCA

These three coordinated display panels were produced for the ASPCA in Asheville. Each panel combines photography, quotes, career messaging, and organization branding into a professional display designed to be read at close range.

Rather than mounting the panels flat against the wall, each sign is installed with stand-offs. The small gap between the panel and the wall, along with the visible mounting hardware, gives the display additional depth and a polished architectural appearance.

Decorative Dimensional Sign

Star Ace Spa

Metallic finishes can create a luxurious appearance indoors, but genuine gold leaf is not the only way to achieve the effect. This Star Ace Spa sign was printed with artwork designed to reproduce the varied texture and appearance of gold leaf.

The warm metallic-looking finish works particularly well with the flowing script and dimensional construction, giving the spa a decorative focal point behind the reception area without the cost or production process of actual gold leaf.

CNC-Carved Dimensional Wood Sign

Troy Lee Designs

This Troy Lee Designs interior sign combines a dark background panel with raised natural wood lettering to create a strong dimensional contrast. The script logo was CNC carved so the finished wood lettering precisely follows the customer's established brand.

Leaving the wood grain visible adds warmth and texture to the sign and works especially well against the surrounding reclaimed-wood wall. The result feels custom-built for the space rather than simply attached to it.

Large-Format Interior Display

Caliber Collision

Large interior walls provide an opportunity to do considerably more than hang a small company logo. This Caliber Collision installation turns the entire wall into a branded display using full-color imagery of the people and processes behind the company's work.

The angled photographic panels create movement across the wall, while the CALIBER branding remains dominant above them. A multicolor accent stripe across the bottom ties the individual images together into one cohesive composition.

Historic Photo Wall Mural

Salsa's — Hector Diaz

This large black-and-white wall mural honors Hector Diaz, the founder of Salsa's in downtown Asheville. Diaz built his Mexican-Caribbean fusion restaurant from a small counter operation into an Asheville institution, becoming an important part of the city's restaurant history.

Rather than filling the wall with decorative imagery unrelated to the business, this project puts the story of the restaurant front and center. The oversized historic photograph preserves a piece of Salsa's history while creating a powerful and very personal focal point inside the restaurant.

Acrylic Lobby Sign

Constangy, Brooks, Smith & Prophete

A lobby sign is often one of the first branded elements visitors see after entering a professional office. This installation combines the Constangy logo and dimensional lettering with a clear acrylic background, allowing the wall itself to remain visible through the sign.

Stand-off mounting lifts the acrylic away from the wall while the raised logo and lettering add another layer of dimension. The combination creates a polished architectural presentation without visually overwhelming the reception area.

Floor-to-Ceiling Wall Graphic

Asheville Regional Airport Control Tower Lobby

Go big or go home! This massive AVL wall graphic was created for the lobby of the new air traffic control tower at Asheville Regional Airport. Covering the entire wall from floor to ceiling—approximately 19 feet wide by 10 feet high—the design incorporates photographs of the Asheville area and the airport within oversized AVL lettering, all set against a layered mountain background.

The graphic was printed and installed in five panels, each approximately 46 inches wide. Careful alignment during installation makes the seams virtually disappear; from more than a couple of feet away, you'd be hard-pressed to find them. And really, who stands two feet from a 19- foot-wide wall graphic looking for seams anyway?
